After Smoking Treatment
Now, you will no longer be dealing with the physical cravings of
quitting smoking. For a time, (7-14 days), you will have
thoughts associated with the habit that you have trained
yourself into. These thoughts will pass when you retrain
yourself. If you have strong thoughts after meals, in your
favorite place to relax or in those ever-present social
situations, try to avoid these associations for a while. Change
your pattern; go for a walk after meals; try to avoid anything
that makes you feel you should have a cigarette.
Enjoy your ability to breathe, smell, and taste better and
sleep more restfully. Your energy level will return very
quickly.
When you stop
smoking you don't have to wait weeks or months to reap the
benefits of your new healthy lifestyle.
